Racecourse running rail

Earlier this year Hamilton Park Racecourse unveiled a £250,000 investment in the venue ahead of its 2015 season. A host of improvements were made across the site including the installation of a new running rail for which Watt Fences supplied them with 20 furlongs of Fornells Lightweight (10108) Running Rail. Hamilton Racecourse Groundstaff did an outstanding job to install the running rail in a very short period of time to enable work to be finished before their first meeting on 3rd May.
Fornells Running Rail is made up of 3 major components: the Rail profile, the Posts (for holding the rails up) and the Ground Footing (for fixing the posts to the ground) and is available in Lightweight (10108) and Heavyweight (10100).
Watt Fences are the sole UK agent for Fornells Running Rail and Crowd Barrier. We have supplied numerous racecourses including York, Chester, Goodwood, Aintree, Salisbury, Musselburgh, Haydock, Kempton Park and many more..

“We have recently invested £50,000 in up-grading over 20 Furlongs of running rail at Hamilton Park and we are delighted that we selected the product manufactured by Fornells via their UK agent, Bill Watt of Watt Fences. The product itself has a clever design and is made to a very high spec with a superb finish. Our small team of ground staff very quickly familiarised themselves with the system necessary for the installation and have done a fantastic job. This would not have been possible without the constant care and attention provided by Bill during the project. Installing rail effectively is not as straight-forward as you may think because it is essential to create a clean line that is both level and straight and to avoid damaging the fixings whilst transporting it around the site. I am thrilled with the outcome and would thoroughly recommend the same product and service to other racecourses.”
